Ipswich Town striker Shefki Kuqi is hoping to sign a new contract with Town when his current deal expires in the summer.
The 28-year-old striker has scored 17-goals this season and hopes to repay Town further by signing a extension to his contact which expires in the summer, should Town get promoted he will have the option of a one year extension but should Town miss-out on top flight football a new contract will have to be negotiated but Shefki says he wants to be at Portman Road next season regardless of the league Town are in.
Kuqi: “I have already had some talks with the club and it won't take me long
to sign a new contract.
“But first we need to see where we finish and all
we are concentrating on now is getting into the Premiership.
“I really enjoy it here and being part of this team. Our target is to get promotion so we will finish the season and see where we are.”
