Royle’s Reaction: Rotherham

Reaction from Ipswich Town manager Joe Royle following Town’s 4-3 win over now relegated Rotherham earlier tonight.

Royle: “We had some harsh words to say after the game because we should never have been hanging on like that, at 4-1, we had several players that switched off and we pressed the self-destruct button.

“You have to give credit to Rotherham, they were very honest and caused us problems all game.

“I wasn't happy even in the first-half when we were on top and overall we gave away some bad goals.

“It was a tighter game than it should have been and at 4-1, we should have been looking to add to our goal difference.

“In the end though it's another three points and with Wigan losing, it puts us second and in a good position.”
