Team news and more ahead of Ipswich Town’s game against Derby County on Saturday at Portman Road.

Town manager Joe Royle is with out Drissa Diallo but other than that has a full squad to choose from.

County have one of the best away forms in the league having lost 5 times in 18 games away from home also having won 10

Royle:“Derby have been in a rich vein of form recently, especially away from home and George will be coming back here to win.

“George knows his stuff, he got Ipswich up to fifth in the Premiership and into Europe. You have to know what you are doing to achieve that so I'm not surprised he has done what he has at Derby.

“He has built a good side there but he comes up against a very different Ipswich side to the one he left.

“Only Jim Magilton, Richard Naylor and Fabian Wilnis are the senior players still here and they were on the way out under him anyway. So it is two entirely new teams coming up against each other.”

“It is our turn for revenge. It is a big game but then we have been told since before Christmas that this period or that is a vital spell.

“It is no different now, we have seven games to go and all of them are important.”

Town squad: Darren Bent, Pablo Couñago, Darren Currie, Kelvin Davis, Jason De Vos, Kevin Horlock, Shefki Kuqi, Jim Magilton, Tommy Miller, Richard Naylor, Lewis Price, Matt Richards, James Scowcroft, David Unsworth, Ian Westlake, Fabian Wilnis.

George Burley will be with out goalkeeper Lee Grant has a fracture so will be replaced by Kevin Miller on the Rams bench, midfielder Marco Reich is out with an ankle injury, defender Michael Johnson is fit but this weekend is too early for him after recovering from a knee ligament, Richard Jackson and Paul Boertien will also be missing. Mo Konjic is doubt with a stomach muscle injury.

Former Town Boss George Burley believes that Saturday’s game will be one of Derby’s biggest test this season: “Ipswich is probably going to be our biggest test, especially after being out for two and a half weeks, so we've got to show that determination we have done away from home all season.

“We'll just have to go there and work very hard, which we have done all season, and hope we get a result.

“It's a big game for both clubs so it promises to be a really tough game.

“We're undefeated in nine games but Ipswich are a strong team with a good squad of players.

“We had a good win against them at Pride Park so it's one to look forward to, and we've got to be at our very best.”
