Sobers Loaned To Bees

Ipswich Town defender Jerrome Sobers has joined league one side Brentford on-loan until the end of the season.

The 18-year-old who was told earlier this month he will be released at the end of the season has joined the league one play-off hopefuls with out making a single first team appearance for Town although he has been on the bench a few times.

Brentford manager Martin Allen: “I have also signed young Jerome Sobers from Ipswich Town on a three month's loan. He is 6` 3", very quick and he is a signing that I am looking at with a view to taking next season. He has been signed by Ipswich from non-league football and with the pace he possesses, with hard work on the training pitch, I feel in the future he could be a player.”
