Ipswich Town striker Darren Bent has been named in the England U21 squad for their European Championship qualifiers against Germany and Azerbaijan.

Ipswich Town striker Darren Bent has been named in the England U21 squad for their European Championship qualifiers against Germany and Azerbaijan.

The 20-year-old has scored 7 goals in 10 appearances for Peter Taylor’s side will be joined in the squad by former Town team mate Darren Ambrose who is currently at Newcastle.

The game against Germany takes place at Hull City’s Kingston Communication Stadium, where Bent has already scored twice for the Under 21 side on the 25th of march and the game against Azerbaijan takes place on the 29th of march at Middlesbrough’s Riverside Stadium.

Bent will meet up with the rest of the Under 21 squad on Monday.
