Ipswich Town goalkeeper Lewis Price has been called up to full Wales squad for their World Cup qualifiers against Austria.

The 20-year-old shot stopper is already established as the Welsh under-21 goal keeper and with Mark Crossley retiring from the international game has left a spot vacant up for grabs and Lewis’ performance for the under-21 side have earned him the chance to show Wales boss John Toshack what he can do.

Price will be joined in the Wales squad by Paul Jones and Danny Coyne as the other two goalkeepers for the games in Cardiff on the 26th of March and on the 30th in Vienna.

Price: “I've heard the news and I'm delighted to be involved.

“I've really enjoyed playing for the U21s and getting the chance to work with the senior players is going to be terrific. I'm really looking forward to it.”
