Player Reaction: QPR
Reaction from Ipswich Town duo Jim Magilton and Fabian Wilnis following Town’s 2-1 defeat against QPR earlier today.
Magilton: “We would have expected to win our last two games so you have to say that it's been a bad day at the office. However, credit to QPR, we gifted them two goals; the first one you can't legislate for, Kelvin's slipped and the ball has hit the lad and we're a goal down - then they've got everyone behind the ball and that's made it very difficult for us. At the end of the day it's up to us. We have not lost any ground really which is a big plus - we've got everything to play for; a point today and we'd have been top of the league again. Sadly our performance has dipped and we've got to find something pretty soon. We turn it around by sticking together and being positive. The biggest thing is we don't want anyone to hide. We just need to score - there's enough character in the dressing-room to do the job.”
Wilnis: “To be fair we're going through a bad spell and when you concede a goal like the first one it is typical of how things go when you're going through a spell like this. It's now all about confidence and belief that we can do it. We've got to stay positive; you'll always hit a spell like this - we've got to show character. Next week's game against Wigan will be a massive game for us; we've got to show ourselves and our supporters how strong we are. We're still confident; there are 11 games still to play and that's a lot of points. It's going to be an interesting run in to the end of the season.”
