Ipswich Town striker Dean Bowditch has been talking about the time he has spent training and playing with the England under 19 side.

Bowditch has said: “It all helps my development as a player.

“You are up against different opposition, different systems and it's all part of the learning curve as a young footballer.

“It's different from the Championship, which is a fast, physical style of football. I don't know what Belgium are like but when you play against the likes of Italy, France and Spain, you can spend ages trying to get the ball back if you lose it.

“It's a very technical game but that's the sort of football that suits my style.

“Meeting up with the other players is great as well. We have sort of grown up together and it's nice to catch up on how they are getting on at their clubs.”
