Reaction from Ipswich Town duo Dean Bowditch and Jason De Vos after today’s 1-0 victory over Leeds United at Portman Road.

Bowditch: “It was quite an even game today. The goal, when it came, was a bit scruffy and in the end we had to rely on our defenders to help us out and they were fantastic. Leeds were good at shutting down and that was obviously their game plan. They were right on top of us from the start and tried to stop us playing. We had to get behind them and I think we did that more in the second-half.”

De Vos: “They're a tough side so it was a great result for us. Coming down from the Premiership everyone is going to raise their game and it's going to be difficult to get points off them. The goal was scrappy but Benty's taken it well. Another clean sheet does our confidence a world of good. I think that they showed us a lot of respect by putting five in midfield. We've got the best midfield in the League and sides are going to try to negate that. I felt that we dealt with that well and Kelvin made a great save late in the game to keep a clean sheet. The boys worked hard for the result.”
