Report: Town 0-3 QPR

By Aston
September 14 2010

Town were well beaten by Neil Warnock’s QPR side at Portman Road earlier this evening, going down 3-0.

The visitors never looked in danger tonight, taking the lead after 31 minutes, through Jamie Mackie and 11 minutes later he made it 2-0.

Town made two changes at the start of the second half, Tamas Priskin and Connor Wickham coming on for Luke Hyam and Andros Townsend.

The change had little impact on the game as QPR forced Town into playing long balls.

QPR added a 3rd in the 66th minute when they were awarded a penalty which Heidar Helguson converted.

Town slip to 5th in the table, with 2nd place Cardiff visiting Portman Road on Saturday.

QPR: Kenny, Walker, Gorkss, Connolly, Hill, Faurlin (Buzsaky 36), Taarabt (Leigertwood 60), Derry, Ephraim, Helguson, Mackie (Smith 80).
