Blackburn Eyeing Tommy Smith?

Town youngster and New Zealand international, Tommy Smith is reportedly a target of Premiership side Blackburn Rovers following his performances in the World Cup. Smith partnered Rovers' captain Ryan Nelsen in the middle of the All Whites defence during their time in South Africa, which saw them pick up three draws including one against the defending world champions Italy, a game in which Smith gave away a penalty but otherwise impressed.

Town manager Roy Keane wants Smith to make his mark at Portman Road next season and he is contracted to Town until 2012.
