Report: Swansea 0-0 Town

Town secured a point against play-off chasing Swansea earlier today, drawing 0-0 at the Liberty Stadium in a game that failed to get pulses going. Town made two changes to the side that lost to Plymouth in midweek, Pablo Counago and Carlos Edwards were dropped to the bench to be replaced by Jaime Peters and Grant Leadbitter with Town starting with a 4-5-1 formation.
The home side started better, Nathan Dyer hit the post inside the first 5 minutes after meeting a cross from Cedric van der Gun.
Grant Leadbitter tried his luck from distance on half hour but Dorus de Vries in the Swansea goal was up to the challenge and collected with ease.
That was about it chances wise for the first 45 minutes, Swansea came out for the second half with a little more about them but still failed to really trouble Brian Murphy in the Town goal.
At the other end, De Vries wasn't really troubled by the Town strikers either, with the exception of Daryl's Murphy's angled effort after Jon Walters had sprung the offside trap and played Town's leading scorer in on goal only for De Vries to push Murphy's effort round the post.
Shefki Kuqi came close to winning it for Swansea in the final minutes but headed wide. Town remain 16th in the table but move 9 points above the drop zone.

Subs: Lee-Barrett, Garvan, Smith, Couñago, Healy, Rosenior.
