Town midfielder Jon Walters says he and his Town team mates have failed to deal with the pressure the club has been under this season. Walters: "We can't hide from the fact that it's been a thoroughly disappointing season so far.

"We've not been good enough, simple as that. The table tells the story. We are where we deserve to be.

"We've got good enough players to be doing far better but we have not matched the expectations. When the manager came in, those expectations shot through the roof and maybe some players thought that would be it, we would just turn up and go up because of the manager but it doesn't work like that.

"Maybe mentally, it's been a problem for us this season. When you look at the players here, we have got a good squad yet we have underperformed.

"We have worked hard on the training ground and on the pitch but it's not happened for us. We've got to improve. We need to get away from where we are in the league and make sure we are okay first and then come the end of the year, take a long look at ourselves because we have to move forward."
