Brilliant following from the fans again, outsung our South Yorkshire counterparts all game. Barnsleys opener came at the opposite end to us, and on first look I have to blame Wrighty for it, tame shot from outside the box, think he may have got a hand on it before it went in, but easily should've been saved. Thought Rosenior was very poor at right back, and after a decent debut at Middlesborough a few weeks back, looks to have faded to mediocre. Leadbetter was poor today aswell, Quinn(who I like) was useless, in fact THEY WERE ALL USELESS , Jaime Peters aside, who was the only player who worked his boll**ks, off in trying to win the ball back. Missed our goal and the goalmouth fisticuffs just before half time, due to collecting the half time refreshments. Second half, to say we were in need of a win, and we were playing relegation fodder Barnsley there was no urgency at all in our play, only a couple of goal attempts, but nothing that really tested their keeper. Ref awarded a penalty for what I saw as to be a perfect tackle by young Tommy Smith, justice was done anyway when Hume tried to be clever with the spot kick and hit the post. Counago came on for the waste of money that is Priskin, and we looked a incy bit brighter, but far far away from a good performance. Then with 5 mins extra time added on that clown Macken scored with 95 mins 20 seconds on the clock, it was just about the last kick of the ball.
Keane walked off clapped our support and the players followed suit, for their dressing down.
What upset me most today was (especially first half) it was like the players have never played with each other before, nobody knows what they are doing, second half it was the lack of urgency from them, we need a win, and they just jog about, take their times over throw ins and goal kicks, its like they are not bothered!!
Its gonna be a long long season, and although I want Keane to succeed, I can't see where we are going to get our first win, playing this awful football.
