Town manager Jim Magilton is pleased with Town’s win against Nottingham Forest earlier tonight, but feels his side can do better. Jim: "It was nice to score early for a change and get ahead but it was a scrappy first-half overall, which was understandable, we were better in tempo and quality after the break and the second goal was well worked. Gareth McAuley played a great ball to Wrighty and he finished it well. Gareth has that in his locker and I wish he had the same belief as I do that he can come forward and show that sort of quality.

"We can play better. We know we can but I can't fault the character of the players and I want to thank the fans as well for the backing they gave me.

"There has been a lot of negativity around us this week from outside quarters but maybe we are not as bad as some people have made out and maybe I'm not as bad as some people have made out.

"Football is all about opinions. If the criticism starts to affect my players, I will have something to say about it but my job is focused on the players and getting results for this football club."
