Town midfielder Jaime Peters has been told he won't need an operation after damaging knee ligaments recently. Peters' injured his knee playing for Town's reserve side against Crystal Palace earlier in the month and there was fears he would need an operation, but scans have shown the ligament is in one peace merely sprained.

Town physio Matt Byard: "Jaime has had a scan and the ligament is sprained but is intact, there is no indication that surgery is needed and it's just a case now of continuing as we are and giving him time to recover.

"We will continue to monitor his recovery and he has reported a significant improvement lately. Hopefully he will start some light jogging next week and then maybe back in full activity in a couple of weeks."
