Lee Bid Accepted?

According to the local media Town have accepted a £600,000 bid from Neil Warnock's Crystal Palace for striker Alan Lee. The 30-year-old striker is believed to be one of the players Town manager Jim Magilton feels is past his sell by date at Portman Road despite scoring 34 goals since joining Town from Cardiff in January 2006.

Lee was on the bench for Town's Carling Cup win against Colchester last night.

no way he did not play well at Burnley but he was last season give him a chance to work with the new players. Its also not fair on fans like me who get a players name on the back of the shirt just to find they move soon after.

Bad move IMO getting rid of Lee!!!!! We want a clearout of midfielders not forwards!!! Who've we got lined up?......................an unfit pi55 poor Ameobi. Sort it out James you're on borrowed time in my eyes.

No I aint worried that we've lost 2 games, Martin. Just making a point that I think if we are'nt 'up there' challenging at Christmas time, Jim could find himself out of job, I'm sure Mr Evans wants promotion this year, afterall it is Jims 3rd year in charge.

Unless he's got another Striker of proven quality (Not Ameobi, Cos he's just Sh**e) then this is a bad move.

We need to see a Striker come in before one goes out.

Losing Lee might be the way forwards, yes he has done well at this club but maybe Jim is right, its time for some to move on. Lee could well be stopping Rhodes from playing and Rhodes is the future.
