De Vos Offered Deal

Town manager Jim Magilton has offered club captain Jason De Vos a one year contract extension. The 34-year-old defender joined Town on a free transfer from Wigan in 2004 and has since gone on to make 173 Town appearances scoring 11 times, he is out of contract in the summer and Jim Magilton is keen to keep him.
Town manager Jim Magilton: "I've spoken with Jason and we have offered him a new one year contract, he's been terrific for us this year and we have sat down and talked about his future but at the moment he wants to concentrate on the rest of this season.
"He is fully focused on the remaining six games of the Championship season and getting the Club into the Play-Offs and doesn't want anything to get in the way of that.
"He has said he will make a decision as soon as the season is over and that is fine by me."
De Vos echoed Jim's words saying: "I have spoken to the manager and the Club have offered me a new contract.
"At the moment though all that concerns me is this season and getting enough points from the last six games to get this Club into the Play-Offs.
"Once the season is over then I will sit down with my family and discuss what happens from there.
"I'm doing some work for a TV station in Canada in the summer and that is one line I might explore in the future but as I've said, nothing will be decided until the end of the season. All the concerns me at the moment is getting three points at Colchester on Saturday."
