Town have completed the signing of Derby County goalkeeper Stephen Bywater on-loan until, with the view to making it a permanent move in the summer. The 26-year-old, started his career at Rochdale but was signed by West Ham for £300,000 before had made a single first team appearance for the League Two side. He joined Derby County in the summer of 2006 and went on to establish himself as Derby's first choice ‘keeper as they went up via the play-offs and Town manager Jim Magilton is hoping that experience can help Town this season.
Jim: "Stephen is a young, ambitious 'keeper who knows what is needed to win promotion from this division, we are delighted to have him with us and he will stay here on loan with a view to making it a permanent move in the summer."
Town are still looking for another ‘keeper after Shane Supple joined Falkirk on-loan until the end of the season.
