New Town midfielder Alan Quinn is hoping to return to the premiership as soon as possible now he has completed his move to Town. Quinn was signed on an emergency loan deal on Friday night and met up with his new team mates in the Hotel in Blackpool and today he agreed personal terms with Town and signed a three and half year deal, in those three and a half years he wants to be playing Premiership football like he was last season.

Alan: "Ipswich are doing well at the moment and are in with a chance of going up.

"Hopefully I can help the Club achieve that aim. Everything is here for the Club to move on and play at the top level.

"The manager has got some good players here and having played alongside Jim at Sheffield Wednesday, I know what he is all about.

"He is a big factor in me coming here. I know he will want his team passing the ball around and taking the game to the opposition.

"I also know some of the Irish lads, Shane, Owen and big Al (Alan Lee) and I'm looking forward to my time here. It's a great football club."
