Gary Not Keen On Stanley Return

Town midfielder Gary Roberts isn't keen on returning to League Two side Accrington Stanley, a year after leaving them to join Town. Roberts had been left out of the Town set up for 7 weeks until his return against Blackpool on Saturday and that absence sparked rumours of a return to Accrington Stanley, but Roberts says he wasn't interested in such a move.

Roberts: "That was a rumour. I'm not ready to go back to League Two and the manager knows I'm not ready for League Two.

"I just want to play football and the gaffer told me that if I got my head down and worked hard there was a place for me at Ipswich.

"If had taken going on loan to get games maybe I would but I have come back in here and feel I did all right."
