Town manager Jim Magilton has confirmed the club have made a second offer to Plymouth Argyle for their midfielder David Norris. Town's first offer for the midfielder was rejected by Plymouth who have since rejected an offer from Leicester City, which it is believed Town have bettered.
Town manager Jim Magilton: "We are determined to get him and have gone back with a very good improved offer last night.
"The transfer window does hijack prices and causes its own problems but it is there and it is something that we have to deal with."
Jim also dismissed reports linking Town with a move for Dundee United midfielder Barry Robson, adding: "He is a player I'm aware of. I was at the Dundee United game where he scored a hat-trick but people have put two and two together ands come up with five.
"I have not spoken to Craig Levein (Dundee United's manager) about him or had any contact with Dundee United."
