Bid Rejected

Town manager Jim Magilton says Town's bid for a player has been rejected by the players club. Town offered a seven figure transfer fee for the player but it has been rejected by his club, who are also not being named although the player in question has played in the championship.

Magilton: "We have made a substantial bid for a player who has played in the Championship and it's been rejected.

"We will now weigh up our options but we have other targets and we will see how things progress over the next few days."

I think the key thing here is the word "played" rather then "plays", premiership targets, well in Jim
