Town pair Owen Garvan and Billy Clarke are both doubts for Town's game against Cardiff on Saturday with a decision on their fitness to be made on Friday.

Owen and Billy were due to be with the Republic of Ireland U21 squad this week but were withdrawn due to injury and it is currently unclear if they will be fit for Town's early kick-off against Cardiff on Saturday.

Town manager Jim Magilton: "Owen and Billy are disappointed not to be playing for their country. They have both stayed to have treatment and some light jogging to keep them loose.

"It is too soon to tell if they will be fit for Cardiff and we will make a decision Friday.

Meanwhile there is better news for Alan Lee who is now back in full training and is expected to be fit to face his old club.

Magilton added: "Alan has started training again and I expect him to be fine for the weekend."
