Town manager Jim Magilton says he hopes to loan Town striker Dean Bowditch out to someone so he can build his confidence back up following injury. Dean scored a hat-trick for Town's reserves last night in the 5-4 win against the Southend second string, his first goals since returning from a groin injury which has dogged him since January and extinguished the chance of an extended loan move to Brighton.

Town manager Jim Magilton: "Our best laid plans for Dean went out of the window last season what with his injury problems, we were keen to get him out on loan, score some goals, play regular first-team football and get his confidence up.

"He's a player I have always liked and it's great to see him back playing football again and we will see how things go from here.

"It's important that he is playing games every week and if we can't give him games at the level we want, then he will go out on loan."
