Town manager Jim Magilton expects to find out today if Spanish defender Cesar Navas will be joining Town from Spanish side Malaga. Talks between Town and Malaga have been on going since Navas returned to Spain after breaking a metatarsal playing for Town in pre-season.

Magilton: "The talks are at an advanced stage and I reckon we will know one way or the other whether Cesar is coming by close of play today, it's a big move for him and there is a lot to weigh up so it was always going to take time but it's getting to decision time now."

If Navas chooses not to come to Town Jim says he has other plans, adding: "We have young players here who provide cover and there is also a possibility of bringing in a loan player from a Premiership club who can play right across the back, we will see what happens with Cesar first and then go from there."
