Town striker Alan Lee has agreed to sign a new contract at Town that will keep him at Portman Road until 2009 at least. Hull City had been keen on signing the 28-year-old striker making two bids, both of which were rejected by Town.
The new deal takes Alan up until 2009 with the option of another year if he wants it.
Town manager Jim Magilton: "We have been talking to Alan about a new contract over the last few weeks and I'm delighted that everything has now been agreed, there has been speculation about his future lately but Alan was our top scorer last season and is a valuable member of our first-team squad and we have always made it clear that we wanted to keep him here at Portman Road."
