Jim On Darren Deal

Town manager Jim Magilton says Darren Bent's decision to reject a money spinning move to West Ham is causing some frustration. Bent was expected to join West Ham in a move that would have landed Town £2.88 million but Bent decided against the move which has had a knock effect to Jim Magilton's plans.

Jim: "We would now be able to pinpoint the targets we want to strengthen our squad with, it looked as though the deal was complete, but Darren apparently changed his mind and we must now hope that a new deal comes off to give us cash that would make a massive difference to Ipswich Town.

"I am sure Blackburn are looking at our situation and sitting tight for the time being, we intend to get the quality we need - and this has to be paid for."
