Town After Cureton

Town manager Jim Magilton says he is keeping an eye on the situation regarding Colchester United want away striker Jamie Cureton. Cureton handed in a transfer request at Layer Road yesterday as he feels the club do not match his ambitions.

Jim: "I believe Southampton are very interested and we would also have some other irons in the fire but we would keep abreast of the Jamie Cureton situation."

The 31-year-old striker scored 23 goals for Colchester last season.

Meanwhile 34-year-old defender Chris Perry is being linked with a move to Town following his release from West Brom.
