Jim Welcomes Cash Boost

Town manager Jim Magilton is all in favour of the £600,000 or so Town are likely to get as part of a handout from Premier League clubs.

Premier League chairman should finalise the deal that will see 21 of the 24 championship share around £12 million when they meet next Friday and Football League chairman will agree it when they meet the following week and Jim Magilton is welcoming the extra cash.

Jim: "It is a great idea and I welcome the money.

"The Premier League can afford to hand it out and a bit more would be nice but it is still a generous gesture to give it away.

"We are thankful for even a small bit extra and hopefully we can put it to good use and spend it wisely."
