Town ended the season in impressive style beating Cardiff city 3-1 at Portman Road earlier today.

Town took the lead after just 4 minutes when Francis Jeffers got onto the end of Owen Garvan’s through ball and just put the ball round Cardiff ‘keeper Forde for his fourth goal since joining Town on-loan.

 

Cardiff pulled the score level on 37 minutes when Paul Parry headed across Shane Supple from Warren Feeney’s cross.

 

Jon Walters was introduced as a 67^th minute substitute and he made his presence felt almost instantly when he flicked in Garvan’s goal bound effort.

 

Walters got his second of the afternoon when he fired home Jaime Peters pass in the 79^th minute.

 

Town have ended the season in 14^th on 62 points, one place and 6 points better off then last season.
