STB brings you team news, manager previews and betting odds ahead of Towns trip to Pride Park this evening (KO 7:45pm).

Paul Peschisolido could make his return from a thigh injury while Bob Malcolm misses the game with an ankle injury.

 

Derby boss Billy Davies: “The lads have done tremendously well so far but our feet are now firmly back on the ground again and we look forward to the match against Ipswich, again that will be a very tough match because of the way that they play and on the night they will be a very capable side.

 

“We have to be on our guard again, be ready for them and go in with the right approach.

 

“If we can do that then I am sure we can cause them plenty of problems.

 

“They are very much in that situation as the new manager has come in to try and make changes and get to grips with the club, it helps when you have been a player there for as long as Jim Magilton had been.

 

“He was an excellent player and now he has taken over the mantle of manager, and he will know the ins and outs of the club.

 

“Like myself at Preston, when I was there for a couple of years before taking over as manager, it makes things easier.

 

“Jim is very much rebuilding and I'm sure that over the course of time you will see him doing a very good job.”

 

Billy Clarke is named to the squad for the game but he will face a fitness test before a decision is made on him, if he fails to pass fit Jon Macken will probably start in his place up front along side Alan Lee. Sylvain Legwinski is suspended but Owen is going to make his first start of the season in his place. Fabian Wilnis misses out with a hamstring injury while Matt Bates has returned to Middlesbrough after injuring his cruciate ligaments.
