Ipswich Town PLC have today announced that Peter Cohen will joining the board of directors with immediate effect.

Cohen has been a Town fan for over 35 years, he is currently the chief executive PHS PLC, a position he took up in 1998 and has held since.

 

Mr Cohen: “I am very pleased to be joining the Board of Ipswich Town Football Club, I have supported Ipswich since I was a boy and I will do my best to contribute to the objective of all of us which is to return Ipswich to the Premiership as soon as possible.”

 

Town Chairman David Sheepshanks added: “I am delighted to welcome Peter to the Board. He has been a lifelong supporter of the Club and brings to the Board an exceptional business acumen.

 

“He has invested in shares and, like all of us, he is very keen to help this Club get back to the top flight.”

 

Before taking up his role at PHS he was Chief Executive of Holt Lloyd Group Ltd and Managing Director of both Crompton Vidor Ltd and Hawker Siddeley Dynamics Engineering.
