Surgery For Williams

Town midfielder Gavin Williams will go under go surgery next week to resolve a groin injury he has been suffering with.

Williams has been suffering with the problem for the past few weeks but with the international break and him facing a one match ban the timing was right for the operation.

Town manager Jim Magilton: “Gavin has been sore with the injury for a while now and the specialists say that he now needs an operation, we have a two week international break after Friday so we can take advantage of that and he will have surgery next week.

“He is suspended for the West Brom game anyway so at least he will miss far less games than he normally would.

“He's done great for us this season and we are hoping that he will be available for the game at Colchester but we won't make a decision on that until we have a look at him in the morning.”
