Macken Joins On Loan

Crystal Palace striker Jon Macken has joined Town on-loan just hours before the transfer window closes.

The 28-year-old striker has made very little impact at Palace since his £750,000 transfer from Manchester City in 2005, scoring just two goals in 29 appearances but his strike rate during his time at Preston is much more impressive 74 goals in 229 games while his injury hit spell at Manchester City saw 12 goals in 59 appearances.

 

Town had reportedly made a bid for him earlier in the month but it is currently just a loan deal until January.
