De Vos Praise For New Boys

Town captain Jason De Vos has praised the performances of Town’s new loan signings Mark Noble and Simon Walton.

Noble has signed on a three month loan from West Ham while Walton has joined on a months loan from Charlton.

De Vos: “I thought the new lads did well, Alex Bruce slotted in well at the back. Mark and Simon playing in the middle with new team-mates is always difficult but I thought they looked very comfortable as well.

“When they got on the ball they created a few things and defensively they looked comfortable. It's going to take time to bed everyone in and once we get a good understanding we'll improve further and start to get more points.

“We're satisfied with a clean sheet but disappointed we didn't win the game. We created enough chances to win but unfortunately we didn't take those chances.

“We felt comfortable at the back and were well organised. We picked up second balls well; they had a couple of shots but they didn't trouble Lewis (Price).

“It's still early in the season and we weren't slitting our wrists because we hadn't won; we'd obviously sooner have won and been sitting on the top of the table with 12 points instead of one but that's the way football goes. You have to maintain your self belief.

“We're very disappointed with the way the season started. We were very unlucky against Crystal Palace and didn't take our chance against Wolves. Against Leicester we were poor but we've made a start now and we intend to build on this.”
