Parkin To Luton Or Preston

Town striker Sam Parkin has the choice of joining either Luton or Preston as both clubs have reportedly had bids for him accepted by Town.

Both Luton and Preston have made bids believed to be worth £250,000 now although they could raise to £400,000 with various add-ons.

Parkin will now discuss personal terms with both clubs and he is highly expected to leave Portman Road to get away from the boo boys that have destroyed his confidence since his move from Swindon last summer.

Preston have officially confirmed their interest in Sam with their Chairman Derek Shaw saying:

“Following reports in the press we can confirm that Ipswich striker Sam Parkin is a player we are interested in. As a Club we don't normally comment on speculation but news coming out of Ipswich has forced our hand.

“However, we do know that we are not the only club interested and we now await further developments.”
