Town manager Jim Magilton has called for Town fans to get behind the team when Hull visit Portman Road on Saturday.

Town have started the new season with three defeats on the trot which has left Jim disappointed but he wants to put it right.

 

Jim: “We knew it would be a tough start to the season and it's proved that way, it's been a long, hard week but it's over and we have another game now to prepare for against Hull next Saturday.  

 

“We will be on the training ground working hard, and then working even harder to get it right and I know we will get it right. Everyone is determined to get this Club heading in the right direction.

 

“As manager I know, ultimately, it's my responsibility to get the results on the pitch, to find the winning formula. That doesn't scare me, it excites me. It's why I took this job on, to try and bring success to this Club.

 

“I have total belief in the players here that we can turn things around but confidence is bound to be affected after three defeats and that's why I'm glad we are back at Portman Road this week.

 

“I've said many times what fantastic support this Club enjoys and hopefully the fans can get right behind the players and become that 12th man against Hull and see us moving forward.

 

“You should never underestimate what passionate home advantage can do for a player and a team and the fans can certainly have a part to play next weekend but we also know we have to deliver for the fans.”
