Sutton Next?

Town manager Jim Magilton says he interested in possibly signing former Celtic striker Chris Sutton following his release by Birmingham.

The 33-year-old striker started his career at Norwich before moving to Blackburn and then made big money moves to Chelsea and Celtic before joining Birmingham on free transfer at the start of this year, he has now been released by Birmingham so Jim may take a look at him.

 

Town manager Jim Magilton: “We may well do something but Chris is having a scan on a groin problem and it might be that we could do a pay-as-you-play deal.

 

“I think we have to be interested in Chris. Who wouldn't? He is moving back to the area and we'll see how things go.”
