Why oh why do I support the Shaymen?

The past fortnight, I must say has sorely tested my patience as a supporter of Halifax Town, and unfortunately, I may not have a decision to make with regards to my support of the club, as the likelihood of there not being a Halifax Town seems to grow more likely every day. Seriously though, like all of you, I will support the shaymen till I die, but it has been hard to be positive over the past couple of weeks.

One of the negatives of supporting Halifax Town from Australia, is the complete and utter frustration and feeling that you can't help the club like I know those from outside England want to, and the inability to be able to get news as it happens, time-zones putting paid to me personally, as it is hard to be up at e.g. 6pm English time, when it is 3am here in Oz.

Commenting on the shaymen at the present time, as I have I said previously is a hard job over here in oz, but reading the Courier website, Town websites, and the forums, I can't help but ask...

What is Peter O'Hara playing at??

It is 1 1/2 months in my books until preseason training starts and currently we have five people on our playing staff, and office staff, who seem to be looking at other offers of employment. So essentially we are football club with a name and that is it.

To me O'Hara seems to be to what's the word precise in regards to the letter of the law, and is not using enough common sense. I'm sorry but unless we are going to announce new owners tomorrow, we should have had Redfearn signed on a month to month contract at least two weeks ago. It is all well and good for potential owners sprouting that they want their own staff in (e.g. manager) but if they're not in a position to buy the club right now, than surely O'Hara should have let walker appoint Redfearn, so at least potential new owners would at least have a football club with players for the start of the season. Surely O'Hara and Potential buyers realise this.

I am for one saddened that Bob Walker has left the club, he has made mistakes (who doesn't) but he is/was prepared to put in the effort to help the club back to stability and success. My faint hope is that he has resigned to form a consortium to buy out the club with other financial backers. However if he has left for good, I wish him the best in whatever he does in the future.

On a final note, I have noticed that Bradford City has gone into administration, maybe just maybe Jim Brown will sell his shares in the shaymen, and make some bid to take over the Bantams, we can live in hope can't we.
