The first game has arrived and Blues have named their team to take on Ealing Trailfinders. Our last encounter Blues won and the last home game was a close lose. It should be a close game and hopefully Blues will come out on the right side of the victory. Kick off 4pm as the featured game on Clubber TV, as 1st v 2nd from last season take each other on.

We have gone for Finch and size, who is bigger than Hoskings, although I hope he doesn’t give away some cheap penalties as he did in a couple ot the pre season games.
Ealing are a formidable opponent but when we turn up we can take them on.
Uru, Herman, Tonga off the bench give us a lot of ball carrying options for the 2nd half.

We worked well at the end to get a point, in my humble opinion I doubt that there are many clubs in this league that will beat Ealing this year
Some of the decision making from Senior players was woeful today, not good enough.
Subs made a big difference, but too late in the game 🤷🏼♂️
Ealing looked a quality team, they will push on and do well this season.
Ealing were big, but I didn’t think they were great. We were poor, not helped by Ealing being able to spoil the breakdown a lot, often illegally. If we had the same intensity as we did against Saints then the game could have been different.
With theri 6-2 split it was obvious they were coming to be attritional and we didn’t seem up for it.
Positives were the maul defence and scrum were good, a couple of individual errors and a bounce of the ball didn’t help.
We also kicked way too much in to the wind, why box kick into a strong wind to gain 5m but give the ball straight back to them I will never understand. It was crying out to get them moving.
