What a great season the Blues have given their supporters. A derby double over Ampthill produced a thrilling game and nw we have the prospect of welcoming Cov to Goldington Road for the final league game - third v fourth.

Coventry are 16 points ahead of Blues, so whatever happens Mike Rayer's boys will finish the season in 4th place and most would have settled for that back in September.

The bonus has been the style in which the boys have played. That was exemplified at Ampthill where a hat-trick from Sean French helped his side to a 33-27 win.

His best effort one of the tries of the season. It came in the firstt half Will Maisey opting for a cheeky tap penalty in his own 22. Dean Adamson gratefully accepted the challenge sprinting half  the length of the pitch before cutting inside to find the support with some  slick hands sending French in.

Rich Lane got another superb solo try after the break to give Blues the elad and George Hendy also got a belter in the second half - selling dummies galore as he raced through the defence to go in under the posts .

We could be in for another treat  on Saturday.
