Victory over the Scarlets this weekend will secure the top spot in the Pool for the resurgent Blues ..
It's an early two o'clock kick off on Saturday at Goldington Road and there should be plenty of support following our latest success in a muddy Ulster.
The 22-17 victory was hard won but we were worth our bonus point with tries from Phil Boulton, Dean Adamson, Henry Staff and Steffan Jones.
dblue many thanks for that........I will take your calculations with me on Saturday and try to work it out over a beer at the St Peters........then I will be truly confused......
I think we need two points from the game to qualify.....am I correct....?
As I understand it, we want to be one of the top four pool winners to get a home quarter final. This is how it stands now, I think:
1st seed Leinster A: 24pts, 5 wins, Pts diff 129
2nd seed Yorkshire Carnegie: 21pts, 4 wins, Pts diff 85
3rd seed Doncaster Knights: 21pts, 4 wins, Pts diff 94
4th seed London Welsh: 20pts, 4 wins, Pts diff 48
5th seed Bedford Blues: 19pts, 4 wins, Pts diff 11
Both Donnie and Welsh have tricky games, so here's hoping one of them slips up and we get a five pointer.
In an 'ideal world' perhaps on Saturday the scores from the other B&I games could be announced at half time................and someone calculate the 'possible' final positions......perhaps please......?
