Reality coming from the club - NOW WE ARE IN TROUBLE - the season is not fading away- we have been ................ Right from the start. Blues Brother put your rose tinted glasses back on please I prefer it that way.

Not sure you are right, Blues Brother, in stating that we have only won once in 2015, but I agree with you about the season fading away. We went through a purple patch during which we just failed to beat Bristol, before beating Moseley away and Doncaster at home. We only used 19 players as starters during that 3 match spell and played some of our best rugby for any period in the last two seasons. There have been large scale changes to the starting team since then and our performances have deteriorated. Just when we were playing as a team, we make changes mostly (though not in all cases) for the sake of change. We bring in players, who have already committed elsewhere, at the expense of players who have played well all season. And, we play players out of position. I will not criticise individual players on this forum, but there were some dire showings on Sunday. We gave away soft penalties and lost possession far more than any team can afford to at Championship level. We will pick up more points yet and we will not be relegated, but I'm finding it difficult to work out what our longer term team building strategy might be.

Its time now to start getting those contracts signed for next season. A number of our players contracts are coming to and end.

Will Mike LB re-sign for Bedford? My gut instinct is to say No but hope I am wrong.

Kerr will be off to Saracens I suspect, will Pritchard re-sign? His Contract also expires.

We all know these contracts are a bit of a nonsense but surely its better to sort out the wheat from the chaff now and that includes taking a serious look at Management.

Changing the team around so regularly beggers belief. Yes it has to be done with injuries and sometimes a player does need to be replaced but when a team is gelling together why do it?

Peter White and Pritchard were they both injured hence their omission on Saturday? White I want to see him retained he will go places like Josh.

Relegation, it could happen though Plymouth would need to wind their remaining games we could still sit next to bottom.

Clearly the coach still has no idea of his best XV after all these games, hence the constant changes. Our best players are also our oldest players and I suspect at least one of those will call it a day or perhaps look to a player/coach role going forward.

I think the end of this season will see the biggest clearout of players yet and hopefully management. Something isn't right at the moment and it goes deeper than what we see.

I wouldn't have thought there would be that much of a clear out JW.

Remeber we signed 12 new players at the start of this season most of which will probably stay.Given that it's Geoff's last year I doubt that there will be shed loads of money around to strenghthen the squad anyway.

It could be that next season is all about survival.

Iron Blue I agree with you - prediction for next year WE GO DOWN - little less money than this year - poor players getting poorer- dog fight at the bottom and we go down - looking forward to it already - something to play for bit of excitement - new coaching team after we go down - two dogs - able to sit in the stand where I want - luxury

Almost 12 months ago TryBlues started a very useful thread involving the comings and goings at Goldington Road. Perhaps he could get this underway for the 2015/16 season

I will find it and post it as a new topic.

TryBlues - could you include the coaching staff or d'Management. We recruited one at the expense of another.....look where that has got us!
