Thank goodness we have a B&I Cup opportunity to get things back on track. Doncaster Knights are unbeaten in the competition and will provide stern Friday night opposition ...
That is just what is needed following the nine try embarassment at the Mennaye Field last week against "fellow strugglers" Cornish Pirates.
A decent win could mean we might even qualify for the next round, but a decent performance is vital if we are to restore confidence for the league campaign.
Once again the Sarries tie-up comes into force with Mike Ellery starting on the wing and Nils Mordt at fly half.Blues: James Pritchard, Pat Tapley, Henry Staff, Viliami Hakalo, Mike Ellery, Nils Mordt, Darryl Veenendaal, Tom Williams, TJ Harris, Camilo Parilli-Ocampo, . Harry Wells, Ben Gulliver, Paul Tupai, Justin Blanchet, Hayden Thompson-Stringer.
Reps: Charlie Clare, Johnny Harris, James Currie, Mike Howard, Josh Buggea, Peter White, Jake Sharp

JW apart from the backs coach they are the same coaches we've had for the last 10 years. They haven't suddenly become bad coaches.
The way I see it, in the last two years we've signed and held onto, very average players.
Most of them just are'nt good enough for this level. Which is why I believe we'll be in league 1 next season.
Quote:Well you'd like to think so, maybe they should drop now considering the dross we're being asked to watch. If I hadn't paid out for out for a season ticket I'd don't think I'd bother going.red eagleQuote:iron blue

IB, does that mean admission prices will drop?

Recruitment has generally been poor coupled with some poor retention and contract termination decisions. All of this is down to the Head Coach.

So the "Head Coach" sets the budget now, does he?
Until the man at the top moves on this is a club in limbo. I think we will nick another three or four wins to stay up this season but I'm not at all confident about next.

I think it's time he got out a bit more.

Blueherts- me you JW Red Eagle and one or two others are the people who use the forum in the main and obviously none of us have a life or friends worth speaking about - hence my idea of having a Xmas Party where us like minded people can meet have and have fun - I have arranged the venue: the Wellington Pub in Bedford ( if you are old enough I hope so it would be lovely to see you)- date to be confirmed: I will provide the food ( they have a lovely menu) - you can buy me a drink

Clearly you will - and do, Jonathan.
But did you realize you have posted 13 times on this one subject alone - and I have gone to the bother of counting them - how sad is that!
It's time we all got out more!

now now, please stop the bickering etc
We all have different opinions etc but the name calling needs to stop!
At the end of the day we all love and we all care about the blues, born out by our frustrations
I'd like to think that the ethics and ethos of rugby would be extended to this forum i.e we can agree to disagree, move on and still be friendly with each other
That's an end to it!!!!!
