Relief all round at Goldington Road today. A win is tremendous, a win away from home against a close rival is even better and to put the icing on the cake we got a try bonus point right at the end ...
Defeat at Plynouth would have been seriously bad news for Mike Rayer's squad. Instead we came home with a 31-22 victory.
However, the victory gives us every incentive to kick on as the new players setlle in and we build patterns which suit the talent on offer.
Dean Adamson got us off to a great start after we blasted through the home mifdield, and although Albion equalised they lost scrum half Josh Davies to the bin and we capitalised with a catch and drive courtesy of Paul Tupai.
Albion kept themsleves in it with two pens before Adamson scored his second with Pritchard adding the conversion.
Two more penalties brought Albion back, but we camped on their line in the clsoing stages and the pressure eventually opened the way for Pat Tapley to go over.
Jersey are next up at Goldington Road - another five points would be nice.
