Is That It Then?

Skipper

It's all gone quiet on the transfer front so are we to assume that's it for this summer ?

We did have a flurry of new faces announced in mid-May,but apart  from the news that Ian Vass is back as a coach, and that Fenton -Wells takes over from Pritch as skipper, it seems that everyone in charge at Blues is on the beach.

Doubtless there'sll be some movement on  DR signings but are these new faces enough to improve on a poor season in 2013/14. ?

Three  props -  Camilo Parilli-Campo from Ealing, James Currie from Leeds and Tom Williams from Leicester Lions

Fly half Steffan Jones from Newport Gwent Dragon.

Back row Daryl Dyer joins.

Centre Henry Staff returns from Rosslyn Park.

Probably got some very exciting signings from ampthill or dunstabliand lined up

It is a bit concerning, lets hope a big announcement of signings happens soon.

Or it's a new policy, turn up with your boots, get free entry and entered in to a draw for a game, hope I don't draw the 11, 14 or 15 shirt, much prefer to keep warm and I'm too ugly to be one of the girls.

You're worrying too much, bedford schools will have plenty of leavers at the end of this term that we can sign!

excuse me for being cynical but after last season I expected big big changes, so far minor ripples!

Maybe we're waiting till after the World Cup? Sign a few of those players, damn that's football!

we seem to be a club struggling with our direction or coming to terms with what's happening around us, and not keeping up

Please please prove me wrong my beloved blues....

A month has passed since this thread was first posted and very few further signings have been made public.
I thought that one benefit from our season ending at the end of April was that it would give us an extra month with which to build our squad. On the basis of what we currently know we are still a long way from having a full or competitive squad.
If we assume that the top six places will be contested by Worcester, Bristol, Leeds, Rotherham, London Scottish and, probably, Cornish Pirates. That leaves Bedford, Doncaster, Jersey, Moseley, Nottingham and Plymouth to compete in the lower half of the Championship.
Who do you think will be the relegation battlers?
