McCarthy Still Wants Campbell

Town boss Mick McCarthy has not given up signing DJ Campbell from Queens Park Rangers despite signing three strikers already this month.

Prior to going back to Loftus Road earlier this month, Campbell scored 10 times in 17 games for Town and whilst there are said to be a number of clubs interested in the forward, Town boss Mick McCarthy is still hoping to sign him up on a full deal at Portman Road.

“I would like to still do something with DJ – we are still interested. He is our top scorer, why wouldn’t I want him? I have not spoken to him since the weekend and I need to make that call." McCarthy was quoted as saying today.
