Higginbotham Loan Extended

Town have extended the loan of Stoke City defender Danny Higginbotham until the end of December.

The 33 year old centre back originally signed on a one month deal but the club have now been able to extend the loan period of the former Manchester United trainee for the league maximum of 93 days.

Confirming the news to the official club website, Town chief executive Simon Clegg said: “We are delighted that we have managed to keep Danny with us until the end of December.

"He has settled into the team and the Club very easily and made it known that he would like to stay here when we started discussions about extending his loan. 

“He is very much committed to the cause here and I know he’s delighted that we have managed to reach an agreement with Stoke that keeps him in an Ipswich Town shirt for the rest of the year.”
