Striker deal agreed!

Loan agreed?

By Tyne Talk

Newcastle are understood to have agreed a deal with Shakhtar Donetsk to bring unsettled Argentinean striker Facundo Ferrerya to Tyneside.

It is understood that they have agreed a loan deal for the player with a view to a permanent move at the end of the season for a fee understood to be in the region of 6 million.

Ferrerya only moved to Shakhtar last season, but the conflict in the Ukraine has left the player desperately wanting to seek new pastures and indeed threatened to go on strike rather than return o the club.

He scored six goals in 13 league appearances for Shakhtar last season.
